<br /> ‘बजारमा सधैं नपाउने, गाउँघरका परिकार खाने रहर थियो,’ उनले भने, ‘म:म र चाउमिन मात्रै धेरै पाइने रहेछ ।’ हिजोआज जहाँका मेला, महोत्सव भए पनि पुराना खानेकुरा, बाली बिरुवा र प्रशोधनको तरिका हराएको बुझ्न सकिने घरेलु उद्योग सञ्चालक तुलसीप्रसाद देवकोटाले बताउँछन् । ‘कतिपय पुरानो जमानाका भनेर नयाँ पुस्ताले हेपेर हराए, कति विकासे आएर फेरिए,’ उनले भने । अल्लो, बेत–बाँस, निगाला र गहुँका छालीका सामग्री पनि देखिन छाडेको उनले बताए । महिला उद्यमी सुस्ता श्रेष्ठले भनिन्, ‘सामान किन्न सोधपुछ गर्छन्, किन्दैनन् ।’ स्थानीय नारायण दानीले भने, ‘लिंगे र रोटे पिङकै त चलन हरायो ।<br /> <br /> हराउँदै बीउ<br /> पाल्पाको चिदीपानीकी कमला पराजुलीले परम्परागत हिउँदे सिमीको बीउ गाउँभरि डुल्दा पाइनन् । पुराना धान, मकै, सिमी, बोडी, गोलभेडा कुनै पनि अन्न र तरकारी बालीको रैथाने बीउ पाउन मुस्किल रहेको उनले बताइन् । ‘पुराना केही पनि बीउ पाउन सकिने अवस्था छैन,’ उनले भनिन्, ‘गाउँभरि डुल्यो कहीं कतै पाउन सकिँदैन, बजार गयो विकासे बीउ ल्यायो, लगायो । चलन फेरियो, बानी फेरिएन ।’ नायरनमतलेसका धनबहादुर थापामगर गाउँमा गोलभेडाको बीउ नपाएपछि तानसेन भीमसेन टोलको एग्रोभेटमा बीउ किने । उनलाई गाउँमा धानको बीउ नपाएपछि पसलमा नामै टिकाएर हाइब्रिड (वर्णशंकर) जातको ‘गोरखनाथ’ धान मागे । धेरै फल्ने, चाँडै पाक्ने र दाना राम्रो लाग्ने विश्वासमा उनले यही जातको बीउ लगाउने योजना बनाएर आएका हुन् ।<br /> <br /> ‘पुराना जातका धानले थोरै उत्पादन दियो,’ उनले भने, ‘त्यही भएर अहिले नयाँ जाततिर लागेको हो ।’ उनी मात्र होइन, धानको बीउ राख्ने सिजनमा एग्रोभेटमा सबैको ध्यान नयाँ जातमा छ । अघिल्लो वर्ष कोही छिमेकीले लगायो र राम्रो फल्यो भन्ने हो भने अर्को वर्ष सबैलाई त्यही बीउ चाहिने उनले बताए । उनका अनुसार गाउँमा कहिकतै सिल्तुंङ (झिलिंगी), गहत र रातो सिमीबाहेक बीउ हतपत भेटिँदैन ।<br /> <br /> बजारमा बर्सेनि अन्न र तरकारीका नयाँ जातका वर्णशंकर बीउ आउन थालेपछि कृषकको आकर्षण त्यतै छ । यसले गर्दा पुराना बीउ लोप भएका छन् । रामपुर १२ की राधा काफ्लेले भनिन्, ‘पुराना धान, मकै, तरकारीको बीउ सबै हराए ।’ अन्न र तरकारीका रैथाने बीउभन्दा थोरै जमिनमा बढी उत्पादन दिने बीउ लगाउने चलनले नयाँ जातमा आकर्षण बढेको उनले बताइन् । ‘पुराना धान, मकै र तरकारीका स्वाद त अहिले सपना हुन थाले,’ उनले भनिन् । कृषिका जानकार थमनबहादुर कार्कीका अनुसार जिल्लामा अत्यधिक प्रचलनमा आएका परम्परागत तरकारी र अन्नबालीको बीउ पाइनै छाडेको छ । धानकै कुरा गर्दा छोटे (मोटो), जर्नेली (मसिनो), काला नमक, काठे झिनुवा, अनदी, पात्ले (मोटो), हंसराज (मसिनो) जातको बीउ अहिले पाइनै छाडेको उनले बताए । जिल्ला कृषि विकास कार्यालयका प्राविधिक ज्ञानकुमार यादवले कृषकले उत्पादन कम हुने भन्दै उन्नत जात लगाउन थालेको बताए ।<br /> <br /> कसले खोज्ने पुराना बाली<br /> जनशक्ति अभाव र गरेको खेतीबाट लागत नउठ्ने भएपछि खाद्यान्नका रैथाने बाली हराउन थालेका हुन् । बजारको भर परेका किसानमा आफूले बीउ नराख्ने चलन बढेकाले पनि पुराना बीउ हराएका हुन् ।<br /> पछिल्ला तीन वर्षको गुल्मीको खाद्यान्नको अवस्था हेर्दा यहाँका मुख्य बाली मकै, धान, गहुँ, र कोदोलगायत दलहन र तेलहन लगाउने क्षेत्रफल घटेको छ । यस्तै १० वर्षअघिसम्म राम्रो उत्पादन हुने फापर, जुनेलो, सिलाम, गहत, भुल्ले र तिललगायत बाली लोप भएका छन् । गहत, गहते सिमी, राजमा र कालो सिमी वर्षको १ क्विन्टलसम्म बेच्ने गरेका खड्गकोट ४ का सोमनाथ ढकालले अहिले खेती निकै कम हुने बताए । ‘फलाउन सके जति पनि बिक्छ,’ उनले भने । गाउँमा बजारका मसुरो, रहर र राजमालगायत सिमीका दालले स्थान पाउन थालेको उनले बताए । ‘गर्ने कोही छैन,’ उनले भने, ‘सबै किन्ने मात्र भएपछि बीउ कसले जोगाइदिने ।’<br /> <br /> उच्च पहाडी क्षेत्रका रैथाने जातका सिलाम, जुनेलो, उवा र तिते फापरलगायत बाली लोपै भइसकेको किसान बताउँछन् । ‘खेती अब पुरानो पुस्ताको काँधमा छ, जो बलहीन छन्,’ कृषि विकासकी बाली संरक्षण अधिकृत सपना पन्थीले भनिन्, ‘ठिक्क खेती गर्ने । बजारमा पाइने बीउ लगाउने चलनले पुराना बाली मासिएका हुन् ।’ गुल्मीमा खेती हुने ३४ मध्ये १४ थरीका बालीको उत्पादन ३ वर्षदेखि नै घटदो छ । लगातार घटदै आएकामा धान, कोदो, चना, मास, भटमास र गहत छन् । त्यस्तै मकै, गहुँलगायत १२ प्रकारका बालीको उत्पादन स्थिर छ । वरिष्ठ कृषि विकास अधिकृत चक्रपाणी पन्थीले खानेबानीमा भएको परिवर्तनसँगै पुराना बाली हराउँदै गएको बताए । ‘मकै, भटमास खानेले अहिले चाउचाउ खान्छन्,’ उनले भने, ‘अचार बनाउँन प्रयोग हुने सिलाम छोडेर बजारमा पाइने तिलको प्रयोग बढदो छ ।’ उनले जिल्लामा बीउ प्रतिस्थापन दर भने १५ प्रतिशत मात्र रहेको बताए ।<br /> <br /> गाउँले स्वाद कहाँ खोज्ने<br /> लमजुङको इशानेश्वरका पूर्णचन्द्र पोखरेलले पाँचौं लमजुङ महोत्सवमा धित मर्नेगरी सिस्नोको खोले खाए । साथीभाइलाई पनि खुवाए । गुरुङ संग्रहालयसँगै सिउरुङका स्थानीयले होमस्टेमा पाइने खाजा र खानाको परिकार बनाएका थिए । ‘गाउँ जाने भन्दाभन्दै यतिकै भैगो । गाउँको स्वाद सहरमै चाख्न पाएँ,’ बेंसीसहर बस्दै आएका उनले भने । पूर्णलाल श्रेष्ठले कोदोको पीठोबाट बनाइएको ढिँडोको स्वाद लिए । ‘लोकल कुखुराको मासु । मह र घिउसँग कोदोको ढिँडो, वाह,’ उनले भने, ‘मेला महोत्सवबाहेक अन्त पुराना खानेकुरा पाइँदैन ।’ गीता घलेले सिस्नो र ढिँडो धेरै बिक्री भएको बताइन् ।<br /> <br /> केही महिनाअघि लमजुङमा भएको खाद्य मेलामा गाउँगाउँबाट ल्याइका गाउँले उत्पादनले पारखीको मन जितेको थियो । गाउँलेका निगुरो, सिस्नो, कागुनो, गुन्द्रुक, कोदो, चामलको सेलरोटी, च्याउ, लेकाली गुन्द्रुक, भीर मौरीको मह, घर मौरीको मह, भटमास, कोदोको ढिँडो, मकै, सागपात, बोडी, फलफूल र लोकल कुखुराको मासुलगायत खानाका परिकार बनाइएका थिए । ‘हामी आफैं पनि सहरमा गाउँले स्वाद चाख्न पाउँदैनौं । गाउँमा गइरहने फुर्सद पनि नहुने,’ लमजुङ उद्योग वाणिज्य संघका अध्यक्ष रामकुमार श्रेष्ठले भने, ‘मेला महोत्सवकै बाहना बनाएर होमस्टेलाई सहरमा बोलाउने हो, गाउँले स्वाद यहीं लिने हो ।’

Dubai to operate the first Autonomous Aerial Vehicle (AAV) capable of carrying a human this July.The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in collaboration with the Chinese EHANG Company, announced that it had carried out the first test run of an Autonomous Aerial Vehicle (AAV) capable of carrying a human, branded as EHANG184 in Dubai skies. The vehicle they're banking on, called the EHang 184, actually merges two of the biggest advancements in transport in recent years - hovering and self-driving technology. The idea is that passengers will program their destination at the start of the ride, and the hover-taxi will get them there - no driver required.The vehicle is about 1.5 metres tall (5 feet), weighs approximately 200 kg (440 pounds) , and can recharge in 2 hours. In its capacity as a Dubai taxi, it will make trips to a set list of destinations up to 30 minutes away - roughly 16 km, or 10 miles - from the hover-taxi rank. Passengers do not need to learn how to fly it, they do not need get to a pilot's license, they just need to press a button and then it vertically takes off, flies from point A to point B, and lands.The Ehang 184 operates with a fail-safe system that will automatically land the vehicle if it senses that any component is damaged or not functioning properly.
