Pockets of Dailekh, a district 700 km west of Kathmandu, have reserves of natural gas, a study conducted by Chinese researchers has found.An initial report of the Nepal-China cooperation study was submitted to Beijing few days ago, and was made available to Nepal this week. Nepal’s officials say the findings are ‘encouraging’. According to the report, the gas found in Dailekh is different from the methane found under areas of Kathmandu. The gas found in Dailekh can directly be bottled and sold to consumers, the report says. Although lot has been said about the prospect of petroleum exploration in Nepal, this is the first time natural gas has been found in the country.The Chinese researchers, who were in Nepal in November last year, collected samples of rocks from different areas of Nepal and took them to their lab in China, where they analysed them. They then submitted the report to the Chinese government after which it was forwarded to Nepal’s Ministry of Industries.

भइरहन्थ्यो । नेपालको मध्यभागतिरका कुनै पहाडी गाउँका खत्रीको एकफेर सरुवा भयो ताप्लेजुङको हिमाल नजिकैको गाउँ घुन्सामा । ताप्लेजुङ बजारबाट तीन दिन जंगलैजंगलको बाटो हिँडेपछि पुगिने यो ठाउँ इन्द्रबहादुरले देखे–भोगेका गाउँभन्दा फरक थियो । तिब्बतको सीमानजिकको यो चिसो गाउँमा उनले भेटे एक तिब्बती युवती । तिब्बतबाट घुन्सा झरेकी यी युवतीसँग उनको माया बस्यो । उनीहरूले विवाह गरे । उनीहरूका छोरा जन्मिए । नाम राखियो— दोर्जे । शेर्पा र हिमाली जीवन जनाउने नाम थियो यो । यसमा थर गाँसियो बाबुको— खत्री । यसरी दोर्जे खत्रीको नाममा हिमाल र पहाड गाँसिन पुगे ।<br /> एक दिन नेपाल प्रहरीले आफ्नो जवान इन्द्रबहादुरको अन्तै सरुवा गरिदियो । उनी जागिरमा हिँडे, श्रीमती र छोरालाई घुन्सामै छाडेर । त्यसपछि घुन्सामा इन्द्रबहादुरको कुनै खबर आएन । अलि ठूलो भएपछि दोर्जेले आफ्ना पिताबारे खोजीनिती पनि गरे । तर, पत्ता लागेन । न त उनको घर पत्ता लाग्यो, न कहाँ छन् भन्ने । खाली उनको नाम मात्रै दोर्जेसँग बाँकी रहयो ।<br /> गाउँबाट हिमाल नजिक थियो । दोर्जेलाई हिमालले तान्यो । दोर्जेले ट्रेकिङ गाइडका रूपमा काम गर्न थाले । पछि पर्वतारोहीका साथ हिमाल आरोहणमा जान थाले, भरियाका रूपमा । भरियाका रूपमा केही हिमाल चढिसकेपछि अब पालो थियो सगरमाथाको । विदेशी आरोहण टोलीमा संलग्न भएर उनले नेपालको झन्डा बोकेर सगरमाथा आरोहण पनि गरे । त्यसपछि त गाइडका रूपमा पटक–पटक गरेर ८ पल्ट सर्वोच्च शिखरको चुचुरोमा पुगे । त्यसैबीच घुन्सामै उनको विवाह भयो, शेर्पिनी फुपू थाक्चे शेर्पा (फुमू) सँग । दोर्जेले ट्रेकिङ गाइडको काम थालेपछि फुमूले पनि ताप्लेजुङ बजारमा होटल खोलिन् । दुई छोरी र एक छोरा जन्मिए । यीमध्ये फुपू ल्हामु दोस्रो सन्तान थिइन् । फुपूकी आमाको नाम पनि फुपू नै हो । आमा छोरीको एउटै नाम कसरी भयो ? ‘शेर्पाहरूकोमा जन्मिएको बारअनुसार नाम राख्ने चलन छ । आमा र म दुवै बिहीबार जन्मिएको त्यही भएर ‘फु’ बाट आउने नाम राख्दा एउटै भएको,’ उनले बताइन् ।<br /> ताप्लेजुङमा सामान्य जीवन चलिरहेका बेला आमालाई जन्डिस लाग्यो । ‘त्यति बेला भाइ आमाको पेटमा थियो,’ फुपूले आफ्नो खेल जीवनतिरको पहिलो फड्केबारे बताइन्, ‘आमालाई जन्डिस लागेपछि उपचारका लागि हामी काठमाडौं आयौं र यतै बस्न थाल्यौं ।’ ताप्लेजुङ र घुन्साको सट्टा अब जीवनमा डल्लु र खुसिबुले लिए । आमाको खाजा होटल पनि यतै खुल्यो । खुसिबुको बालकेन्द्रबाट पढाइ सुरु भयो । डल्लुको प्रभात स्कुलबाट फुुपूले एसएलसी गरिन् । अहिले पिपल्स क्याम्पसमा बीबीएस तेस्रो वर्ष<br /> पढ्दै छिन् ।<br /> काठमाडौं बसाइका क्रममा डेरा सर्‍यो, सोह्रखुट्टे नयाँबजार । आमाको होटल यहाँ पनि थियो । संयोगले यो होटलको अगाडिपट्टि थियो, राष्ट्रिय जुडो प्रशिक्षण केन्द्र । खेलाडी र प्रशिक्षकहरू होटलमा खाजा खान आइरहन्थे । यस्तैमा एक दिन जुडोका चन्द्र गुरुले दोर्जेलाई भने— छोरीलाई खेल्न पठाइदिनू । भोलिपल्टै बाबुले छोरीलाई लिएर गए । जुडोमा भर्ना गराए र पहिलो आशीर्वाद दिए— ओलम्पिकसम्म पुग्नू । अहिले फुपूलाई लाग्छ, ‘मलाई बुबाको आशीर्वाद लाग्यो ।’ फुपूले रियो ओलम्पिक–२०१६ खेलिन् । यो ओलम्पिकमा सहभागी खेलाडीका लागि भनेर मोबाइल फोन निर्माता कम्पनी सामसुङले एउटा विशेष फोन बनाएको थियो— एस सेभेन एज । यसको पछिल्लो कभरमा ओलम्पिकको प्रसिद्ध रिङको लोगो प्रिन्ट गरिएको छ । फुपू अहिले त्यही फोन बोक्छिन् ।<br /> ओलम्पिक पुग्नुअघि गत वर्ष नै फुपूले भारतमा भएको दक्षिण एसियाली खेलकुद (साग) मा जुडोमा ऐतिहासिक स्वर्ण पनि जितिन् । भारतको सिलोङमा भएको फाइनल खेलमा भारतीय खेलाडी फुपूकी प्रतिद्वन्द्वी थिइन् । १२ औं सागमा नेपालको स्वर्ण संख्यालाई दुई पुर्‍याइन् । पहिलो स्वर्ण उसुकी निमा घर्तीमगरले जितेकी थिइन् भने तेस्रो स्वर्ण पुछ्दै उनले भनिन् । ‘दंगल हेर्दा पनि यस्तै भयो, अन्तिममा छोरीले बाबुलाई स्वर्ण पदक दिँदाखेरी मेरो आँसु आयो । गोल्ड मेडल त मैले पनि ल्याएकी थिएँ तर दिनलाई बुबा नै थिएन,’ फुपू फेरि आँसु पुछ्न थालिन् परेका किसानमा आफूले बीउ नराख्ने चलन बढेकाले पनि पुराना बीउ हराएका हुन् ।<br /> पछिल्ला तीन वर्षको गुल्मीको खाद्यान्नको अवस्था हेर्दा यहाँका मुख्य बाली मकै, धान, गहुँ, र कोदोलगायत दलहन र तेलहन लगाउने क्षेत्रफल घटेको छ । यस्तै १० वर्षअघिसम्म राम्रो उत्पादन हुने फापर, जुनेलो, सिलाम, गहत, भुल्ले र तिललगायत बाली लोप भएका छन् । गहत, गहते सिमी, राजमा र कालो सिमी वर्षको १ क्विन्टलसम्म बेच्ने गरेका खड्गकोट ४ का सोमनाथ ढकालले अहिले खेती निकै कम हुने बताए । ‘फलाउन सके जति पनि बिक्छ,’ उनले भने । गाउँमा बजारका मसुरो, रहर र राजमालगायत सिमीका दालले स्थान पाउन थालेको उनले बताए । ‘गर्ने कोही छैन,’ उनले भने, ‘सबै किन्ने मात्र भएपछि बीउ कसले जोगाइदिने ।’<br /> <br /> उच्च पहाडी क्षेत्रका रैथाने जातका सिलाम, जुनेलो, उवा र तिते फापरलगायत बाली लोपै भइसकेको किसान बताउँछन् । ‘खेती अब पुरानो पुस्ताको काँधमा छ, जो बलहीन छन्,’ कृषि विकासकी बाली संरक्षण अधिकृत सपना पन्थीले भनिन्, ‘ठिक्क खेती गर्ने । बजारमा पाइने बीउ लगाउने चलनले पुराना बाली मासिएका हुन् ।’ गुल्मीमा खेती हुने ३४ मध्ये १४ थरीका बालीको उत्पादन ३ वर्षदेखि नै घटदो छ । लगातार घटदै आएकामा धान, कोदो, चना, मास, भटमास र गहत छन् । त्यस्तै मकै, गहुँलगायत १२ प्रकारका बालीको उत्पादन स्थिर छ । वरिष्ठ कृषि विकास अधिकृत चक्रपाणी पन्थीले खानेबानीमा भएको परिवर्तनसँगै पुराना बाली हराउँदै गएको बताए । ‘मकै, भटमास खानेले अहिले चाउचाउ खान्छन्,’ उनले भने, ‘अचार बनाउँन प्रयोग हुने सिलाम छोडेर बजारमा पाइने तिलको प्रयोग बढदो छ ।’ उनले जिल्लामा बीउ प्रतिस्थापन Dubai to operate the first Autonomous Aerial Vehicle (AAV) capable of carrying a human this July.The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in collaboration with the Chinese EHANG Company, announced that it had carried out the first test run of an Autonomous Aerial Vehicle (AAV) capable of carrying a human, branded as EHANG184 in Dubai skies. The vehicle they're banking on, called the EHang 184, actually merges two of the biggest advancements in transport in recent years - hovering and self-driving technology. The idea is that passengers will program their destination at the start of the ride, and the hover-taxi will get them there - no driver required.The vehicle is about 1.5 metres tall (5 feet), weighs approximately 200 kg (440 pounds) , and can recharge in 2 hours. In its capacity as a Dubai taxi, it will make trips to a set list of destinations up to 30 minutes away - roughly 16 km, or 10 miles - from the hover-taxi rank. Passengers do not need to learn how to fly it, they do not need get to a pilot's license, they just need to press a button and then it vertically takes off, flies from point A to point B, and lands.The Ehang 184 operates with a fail-safe system that will automatically land the vehicle if it senses that any component is damaged or not functioning properly.

Incumbent govt will hold local poll, Minister Joshi says

Industry Minister Nabindraraj Joshi has said that this government would conduct the local elections. Inaugurating the beginning of a modern machine to process the Allo in Shalija VDC of Parbat district on Sunday, Joshi said that local poll would be conducted by third week of June at any cost. He also added that the Prachanda-led government would be changed after holding the local polls. “This government will conduct election. Environment is becoming favourable,” he argued. Saying that the government has the challenges to conduct all three layers of elections within a year, Joshi added that the government would not move back from its stand. Minister Joshi reiterated that the date of the local election would be declared soon and the government was committed to conducting the poll on the basis of consensus of all political parties. During the programme, State Minister for Industry Kanchan Chandra Bade Shrestha said that the government was working for the development of small and medium-sized industries in the country.

दमकमा यस्तो बन्दैछ विश्वकै अग्लो बुद्धको मूर्ति

झापाको दमकमा विश्वकै सबैभन्दा अग्लो दाबी गरिएको मूर्ति निर्माण प्रक्रिया सुरु भएको छ ।<br /> <br /> मूर्तिमात्रै १६४ मिटर अग्लो हुनेछ । ‘मूर्तिको बेसमा ३ तल्ला हुन्छ,’ दमक नगरपालिकाका कार्यकारी अधिकृत युवराज दाहालले भने, ‘तलसमेत जोड्दा १९४ मिटर अग्लो हुन्छ ।’<br /> <br /> ‘विराट बुद्ध प्रतिमा आयोजना’ को विस्तृत आयोजना प्रतिवेदन (डीपीआर) तयार भएको छ । राजधानीमा भएको कार्यक्रममा पूर्वप्रधानमन्त्री एवं एमाले अध्यक्ष केपी शर्मा ओलीसमक्ष डीपीआर सार्वजनिक गरियो । पूर्वपश्चिम राजमार्गको दमक चौकबाट १५ किलोमिटर उत्तरमा मूर्ति रहनेछ ।<br /> <br /> आयोजनाका लागि अहिले ३६ बिगाहा जमिन छुट्याइएको छ । तर सरोकारवालाहरुले भने उक्त जमिन थोरै भएको भन्दै थप जमिन अधिग्रहण गर्न माग गरेका छन् । पूर्ववर्ति ओली सरकारले आफ्नो नीति तथा कार्यक्रम र बजेटमा विश्वकै अग्लो बुद्धमूर्ति निर्माण गर्ने योजना अघि सारेको थियो ।<br /> <br /> एमाले अध्यक्ष ओलीले पनि बेलडाँगी भुटानी शरणार्थी शिविर करिव खाली हुने अवस्थामा पुगेको भन्दै उक्त जमिन प्रयोग गर्न सकिने बताए । ‘यो वृहत्त् आयोजना हो,’ उनले भने, ‘कम्तिमा १ हजार जग्गा चाहिन्छ, त्यसको प्रबन्ध गर्नुपर्छ ।’<br /> <br /> आयोजनामा प्रस्ताव गरिए अनुसारका संरचना निर्माणका लागि कम्तीमा १ हजार बिगाहा जग्गा आवश्यक पर्ने सरोकारवालाले पनि सुनाए ।<br /> <br /> परियोजनामा बौद्ध विश्वविद्यालय, चैत्य, ध्यान केन्द्रहरु, पुस्तकालय, अष्टबुद्ध चक्रपथ, संग्राहलय, खुला ध्यान केन्द्र, अखण्ड दीप आदि सामेल गराइने दमक नगरपालिकाका कार्यकारी अधिकृत युवराज दाहालले जानकारी दिए । परियोजना निर्माणपछि बौद्ध पर्यटनको विकास, बौद्ध चक्रपथमा थप आकर्षण र स्थानीय अर्थतन्त्रमा सकारात्मक प्रभाव पार्ने उनको भनाइ छ ।<br /> <br /> हंसेदुम्से सामुदायिक बनउपभोक्ता समितीको अधिनमा रहेको उक्त जंगल क्षेत्र मासेर बुद्ध पार्कका लागि उपयोग गर्न नखोजिएको पनि ओलीले स्पष्ट पारे । ‘त्यस जंगलमा जतिवटा रुख छन् त्यति नै, अथवा अझै बढी रुख खोप्न सकिन्छ,’ उनले भने ।<br /> <br /> ओलीले बुद्धपार्कमा मौरी र चराचुरुंगीले पनि बास र खानेकुरा पाउनुपर्ने बताउँदै फल्ने र फुल्ने जातका विरुवा रोप्न सुझाए ।<br /> <br /> नेपाल बुद्धको जन्मभूमि मात्र नभएर बुद्धिज्मको आधारभूमि पनि भएको बताउँदै ओलीले भने, ‘नेपाल बुद्धको बर्थ प्लेस मात्र नभएर बुद्धिज्मको फाउन्टेन पनि हो ।’ उनले कि हाइट भएको कि लाइट भएको चिज टाढाबाट देख्न सकिने उल्लेख गरे । ‘सगरमाथाको हाइटले संसारले देख्छ बुद्धको बुद्धत्वको प्रकाश (लाइट) ले नेपाललाई संसारले देखेको छ । दमकमा निर्माण हुने यो प्रतिमाले नेपाललाई संसारमा चिनाउनका लागि र पर्यटक भित्र्याउनका लागि थप मद्धत गर्दछ,’ उनले भने ।<br /> <br /> कार्यक्रममा इलाम क्षेत्र न. २ मा का सांसदसमेत रहेका पूर्वसभामुख सुवासचन्द्र  नेम्वाङले यो आयोजना समग्र नेपालको गौरवको आयोजना हुने बताए । आयोजनाले स्थानीय बासिन्दाको जीवनस्तर उकास्नका लागि समेत महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निर्वाह गर्ने अपेक्षा गरिएको नेम्वाङले बताए । उनले ओली सरकारले देखाएका धेरै सपनामध्ये यो पनि एक भएको बताउँदै समयमै पूरा गर्न सबैले साथ दिनुपर्ने बताए ।<br /> <br /> राष्ट्रिय योजना आयोगका पूर्वउपाध्यक्ष डा. युवराज खतिवडाले सरकार, निजी क्षेत्र र समूदायको पहल भए निर्माण छोटो समयमै पूरा हुने उल्लेख गरे ।<br /> <br /> परियोजना प्रतिवेदन मल्टीडिसिप्लिनरी कन्सल्नेन्ट, डिजाइन कन्सल्टेन्ट र ए–नट इन्जिनियरिङ कुपण्डोलले तयार गरेको हो । नगरपालिका कार्यलयले जनाए अनुसार एक महिना भित्र सरकरालाई यो प्रतिवेदन बुझाएपछि यसको निर्माण कार्य सुरु हुनेछ ।<br /> <br /> आयोजना निर्माणका लागि बिभिन्न दातृ संस्थाहरुले चासो देखाएका नेपाल उद्योग वाणिज्य महासंघका पूर्वउपाध्यक्ष भाष्करराज राजकर्णिकारले जानकारी दिए । उनले पनि ओली सरकारले अघि बढाएको आयोजना पूरा गर्न पनि स्वयं ओलीकै सक्रियता हुनुपर्नेमा जोड दिए ।<br /> <br /> आयोजनाको कुल लागत करिब १५ अर्ब ५० करोड रुपैयाँ अनुमान गरिएको छ । ‘तर लागत अझै बढ्न सक्छ,’ कार्यकारी अधिकृत दाहालले भने, ‘पैसाको अभाव हुनेछैन ।’

प्रेमीले बोलाएर सामूहिक बलात्कार, भिडियो भयो भाइरल

कपिलवस्तुको पकडी गाविस, पकडी बजार किनारमा रहेको सिसौ बगैँचामा एक युवती सामूहिक बलात्कृत भएकी छन्। ७ जना स्थानीय युवाले बलात्कार गरेको भिडियो भाइरल भएपछि घटना सार्वजनिक भएको हो।<br /> <br /> गत माघ २६ गते दिउसो ३ बजेतिर युवाको समूहले पालैपालो बलत्कार गरेको प्रहरीले बताएको छ। उनलाई बगैँचामा बलत्कारका क्रममा नाङ्गै बनाई मोबाईलबाट भिडियो खिचिएको थियो। भिडियो करिब ३० मिनेटको छ।<br /> <br />  घटनामा संलगन युवा राजनीतिक पहुँचवाला र पैसवाला भएकोले घटनालाई दबाउन खोजिएको अधिकारकर्मी बताउँछन्।<br /> १७ वर्षकी ती युवतीको पकडी गाबिस– ४ पिचुर्खीका २० वर्षे बब्लु भन्ने अब्दुल रसिदसँग प्रेम सम्बन्धमा थिइन्। आफ्नै प्रेमीले डेटिङका लागि बोलाएर सो घटना गराएको प्रहरीको प्रराम्भिक अनुसन्धानले देखाएको छ।<br /> <br /> बलात्कारपछि धम्की दिएपछि घटनाबारे युवतीले कसैलाई भनेकी थिइनन्। सो हर्कतको भिडियो सार्वजनिक भएपछि घटनाको रहस्य खुलेको हो। भिडियो पकडी बजार हुँदै कपिलवस्तु वरपर भाइरल भएको छ। भिडियाका ५ क्लिपमध्ये प्रहरीले तीन भिडियो हात पारेको छ। सो भिडियोमा ५ जनाले युवतीलाई नाङ्गै बनाई कुटपीट गरको स्पष्ट दृष्य छ। युवतीले आफूलाई छाड्न रोइकराइ गरी अनुनय गर्दा पनि उनीमाथि बलात्कार भएको देखिन्छ।<br /> <br /> घटना माघ २६ गते को भए पनि माघ २९ गते मात्र प्रहरीले थाहा पाएको थियो।<br /> <br /> प्रहरीले घटनामा संलग्नमध्ये दुई जनालाई पक्राउ गरिएको प्रहरी उपरिक्षक भोजजंग शाले बताए। सार्वजनिक भिडियोका आधारमा पकडी– ४ पिखुर्खीका २० वर्षे बब्लु भन्ने अब्दुल रसिद र २६ वर्षे राहत हुसेन पक्राउ परेका हुन्। पीडित युवतीले सामुहिक बलत्कारको किटानी जाहरीका आधारमा उनीहरुलाई पक्राउ गरिएको हो।<br /> <br /> कति जनाविरुद्ध अनुसन्धान भइरहेको भन्ने जानकारी प्रहरीले गोप्य राखिएको छ। घटनापछि पीडित परिवारलाई युवाहरुले धम्की दिएपछि परिवारै भैरहवामा लुक्न गएको थियो। प्रहरीले उनीहरुको खोजवीन गरी भैरहवाबाट झिकाएको हो।<br /> <br /> फागुन २९ गते प्रहरीले युवतीको स्वास्थ्य परिक्षण गराएको थियो। प्रहरी उपरिक्षिक शाहले पीडित युवतीले आफूलाई नाङ्गै बनाएर कुटपटि र गालीगलौज गरेको बताए। माघ २९ गते प्रहरीको सम्पर्कमा अाएकी ती युवती अहिले कहाँ छिन त्यसबारे प्रहरीले कसैलाई जानकारी दिएको छैन।<br /> <br /> घटनामा संलगन युवा राजनीतिक पहुँचवाला र पैसवाला भएकोले घटनालाई दबाउन खोजिएको अधिकारकर्मी बताउँछन्। इस्को प्रतिनिधि नन्दराम पौडढेल घटना भएको यति दिन बित्दा बल्ल घटनाको सार्वजनिक हुनुले पनि घटना लुकाउन खोजेको देखिएको बताउँछन्।<br /> <br /> घटना सार्वजनिक भएपछि सामाजिक सञ्जालमार्फत सर्वसाधारणले दोषीमाथि कडा कारवाहीका लागि आवाज उठाएका छन्। युवतीको भारतको लौटन थानमा विवाह भएको थियो।

'चिहान’ माथि उत्रिएको खुसी

नेपालगन्ज- कालिकोट, कोटबाडाका मानबहादुर बिष्टलाई 'चिहान’माथि जहाज उत्रिएला भन्ने कहिल्यै लागेको थिएन। सशस्त्र द्वन्द्वको बेला डेढ दशकअघि १७ कामदारसहित ३५ सर्वसाधारणको ज्यान गएको निर्माणाधीन सुनथराली विमानस्थल उनको मानसपटलमा विमानस्थल नभई सामूहिक चिहानको रुपमा बसेको थियो।<br /> <br /> शनिबार बिहानको दृश्यले भने उनको मानसपटलमा गढेर बसेको छाप बदलिदियो। बिहान ९ः५५ बजे १४ यात्रुसहित तारा एयरको जहाज जब सुनथरालीको रनवेमाथि दौडियो, उनको आँखामा हर्षका आँसु टलपलाए। 'हामीले चिहानमाथि यसरी जहाज आउला भनेर आस मारिसकेका थियौं,’ मानबहादुरले भने, 'तर आज नसोचेको भयो, यो त साँच्चिकै एयरपोर्ट नै बन्यो।’<br /> <br />  माओवादी विद्रोहीको मंगलसेन आक्रमणपछि विद्रोही खोज्दै हिँडेको सेनाले ३५ व्यक्तिको इहलीला समाप्त पारेको थियो यही कोटबाडामा जहाँ धादिङ, जोगिमाराबाट मजदुरी गर्न गएका १७ कामदारसमेत परेका थिए।<br /> १२ फागुन २०५८। यो दिन कोटबाडावासीका लागि साँच्चिकै कालो दिन थियो। माओवादी विद्रोहीले साताअघि अछामको मंगलसेन आक्रमण गरेपछि विद्रोहीलाई खोज्दै हिँडेको नेपाली सेनाले ३५ व्यक्तिको इहलीला समाप्त पारेको थियो। घटनामा धादिङ, जोगिमाराबाट मजदुरी गर्न गएका १७ कामदार पनि परे। उक्त घटना देखेका र भोगेका थुप्रै स्थानीय शनिबार जहाज हेर्न सुनथरालीमा झुम्मिएका थिए। उनीहरुको मनभित्र दुइटा कुरा खेलिरहेका थिए– त्यो कालो दिन, यो सुनौलो दिन।<br /> <br />  २०४२ सालमा निर्माण सुरु भएको विमानस्थलको निर्माण कार्यमा २०५८ फागुनको त्यो घटना ठूलो धक्का थियो। त्यसअघि निर्माण सुस्त भए पनि एक दिन त पक्कै बन्ला नि भन्ने आसमा थिए स्थानीय। उक्त घटनापछि त्यो आस पनि लगभग मारिसकेका थिए। तर, शनिबार राज्यले तारा एयरको विमानमार्फत सुनथरालीमा साँच्चिकै खुसी ओसार्‍यो। कांग्रेसका स्थानीय नेतासमेत रहेका कालिकोट, राम्नाकोटका मोतिराज बमले तीन दसक लामोे प्रतीक्षापछि आएको खुसीलाई रोक्न सकेनन्। उनले आफ्नो फेसबुक पेजमा भने :<br /> <br />   तारा एयर सरर<br /> <br />   सुनथराली थरर<br /> <br />   हर्षले आँसु बरर<br /> <br /> ३१ वर्षदेखि अधुरै रहेकाले राज्यसमेत सुनथराली विमानस्थल सम्पन्न हुनेमा विश्वस्त थिएन। नेपाल नागरिक उड्ययन प्राधिकरणका उपमहानिर्देशक राजकुमार क्षत्रीका अनुसार विमानस्थल निर्माणमा करिब १७ करोड रुपैयाँ खर्च भइसक्दासमेत सम्पन्न कहिले हुन्छ भन्ने निश्चित थिएन। हुम्लाका सांसद भदौ १० गते जीवनबहादुर शाहीले पर्यटन तथा नागरिक उड्ययन मन्त्रालयको जिम्मेवारी सम्हालेपछि भने कालिकोटवासीको सपना फेरि ब्युँतियो। 'मन्त्र्रीज्यूले जिम्मेवारी सम्हालेलगत्तै सुनथराली विमानस्थल सञ्चालनमा ल्याउने प्रतिबद्धता व्यक्त गर्नुभएको थियो,’ क्षत्रीले भने, 'उहाँकै अठोटले कालिकोटमा जहाज ओराल्न सफल भइयो।’<br /> <br />  मन्त्री शाहीसमेत पदभारग्रहण गरिसकेपछि तीनपटक सुनथराली विमानस्थल निरीक्षण गर्न पुगेका थिए। उनले माघ मसान्तसम्म परीक्षण उडान गर्ने गरी काम गर्न निर्देशन दिएका थिए। ६ सय ५० मिटर लामो विमानस्थलमा परीक्षण उडान सफल भएपछि कालिकोट देशका ठूला सहरसँगको हवाई सम्बन्धमा जोडिएको छ। उपमहानिर्देशक शाहीले फागुन दोस्रो सातादेखि नियमित उडान गर्ने गरी कार्यालय तथा मानवस्रोत व्यवस्थापनका काम भइरहेको जानकारी दिए।<br /> <br />  सशस्त्र द्वन्द्वकालमा निर्माणाधीन सुनथराली विमानस्थल युद्धको रणमैदान नै बन्यो। सरकारी सुरक्षाकर्मी र माओवादी विद्रोहीले परेड खेल्ने  थलो बनेको कोटवाडामै माओवादी विद्रोहीले मजदुरलाई ढाल बनाएर आफ्नो अभ्यासस्थल बनाए। कतिपटक त सेनाले हेलिकोप्टरबाट विमानस्थलमा बम खसाल्ने गरेको मानबहादुरको स्मरणमा ताजै छ।<br /> <br /> 'सेनाले माओवादी भनेर आकाशबाट बम खसाल्थ्यो, त्यसको मारमा भने हामी पर्थ्यौं,’ २०५८ मंसिरमा विमानस्थलमै बमको छर्रा लागेर घाइते मानबहादुरले भने, 'युद्धकालभरि यो ठाउँ युद्धमैदान बन्यो, शान्ति आएपछि चिहानको झल्कोले सताइरह्यो।’<br /> <br /> चुनौती उत्तिकै<br /> <br /> सुनथरालीमा जहाज त उत्रियो, तर यसको नियमित सञ्चालन उत्तिकै चुनौती छ। कर्णाली राजमार्गको निर्माण र स्तरोन्नतिसँगै स्थानीयको यात्रा सहज हुन थालेको छ। दशकअघिसम्म हवाई यात्राको विकल्प थिएन। अहिले सुनथरालीको फेदबाटै कर्णाली करिडोर गुडेको छ। यस्तो अवस्थामा हवाई उडानलाई नियमित र भरपर्दो बनाउनुपर्ने स्थानीयको माग छ।<br /> <br /> 'ढिलै भए पनि एयरपोर्ट बनेको छ, अब यसलाई प्रभावकारी रुपमा सञ्चालन गर्न आवश्यक पूर्वाधार निर्माण गर्नुपर्छ,’ रकुका भानु पाण्डेले भने, 'सडकसँग प्रतिस्पर्धा गर्नु कम चुनौती छैन।’ कोटबाडा–मान्म जोड्ने रोपवे र कर्णाली करिडोरबाट विमानस्थलसम्म पुग्ने सडक मार्ग बनाउनुपर्ने उनले बताए।<br /> <br /> उपमहानिर्देशक क्षत्रीसमेत विमानस्थलको भविष्य स्थानीयको हातमा रहेको बताउँछन्। 'जहाज आउनु ठूलो कुरा होइन, अब यसलाई यहाँका जनताले माया गर्नुपर्छ,’ उनले भने, 'स्थानीय यात्रुले जतिसक्दो बढी यसको प्रयोग गर्नुपर्‍यो।’ विमानस्थल कम्पनीले पनि यात्रुलाई आकर्षित गर्ने गरी उडान सेवा दिनुपर्ने उनले बताए।<br /> <br /> मृतकलाई सम्मान खै?<br /> <br /> शनिबार सुनथरालीमा जहाज उत्रिँदा कालिकोटवासी जति खुसी छन्, उनीहरुलाई एउटै कुरा खड्किएको छ– मृतकको सम्मान। विमानस्थल निर्माण क्रममा ज्यान गुमाएकाको सम्मान र सम्झनामा राज्यले केही गर्नुपर्ने उनीहरुको माग छ। 'यो एयरपोर्ट मजदुरको रगत–पसिनाबाट बनेको हो, उनीहरुको श्रम र साहसको कदर गरिनुपर्छ,’ विमानस्थल निर्माण क्रममा घाइते भएका तथा ज्यान गुमाएकालाई उपचार गरेका स्थानीय स्वास्थ्यकर्मी गोविन्द गिरी भन्छन्, 'उनीहरुका आत्माको सम्मान नभएसम्म वास्तविक खुसी आउने A ‘special polio immunisation programme’

A ‘special polio immunisation programme’ announced by the government for 15 districts is likely to be postponed due to protests of health professionals. Earlier, the programme was scheduled for coming February 18-19.Health professionals across the country are on a warpath, demanding the enforcement of the Health Act and it is almost sure that the immunisation drive would be postponed, according to Child Health Division’s immunisation section programme officer Basanta Shrestha.We see no possibility of launching the programme on the scheduled date even if agitating health professional returned to work by a couple of days. The new schedule for the programme would be announced later.The government has a target of administering polio drops to some 1.69 million under five during a special campaign. Though Nepal had got the certificate of polio eradication in 2010, the decision to organise a special drive was taken bearing in mind its high risk of its reoccurrence in the country as the cases of this acute viral disease are still in existence in Pakistan and Afghanistan.The UNICEF is to support the programme as it is providing vaccines. Likewise, the World Health Organisation (WHO) is financing Rs 15 million to the programme. The WHO has set a target of eradicating this disease from the world in 2018, the Division said.

१. आयुर्वेदका अनुसार तामाको भाँडामा पानी खानाले तीनैवटा दोष (वात, कफ र पित्त) लाई सन्तुलित पार्ने क्षमता हुन्छ । तामाको भाँडामा राखिएको पानीलाई ‘ताम्रजल’ भनिन्छ । यसका लागि तामाको भाँडामा कम्तीमा ८ घण्टा राख्नुपर्छ ।<br /> <br /> २. तामाको भाँडामा पानी राख्नाले तामा बिस्तारै पानीमा मिसिएर सकारात्मक गुण प्रदान गर्छ । यसको सबैभन्दा राम्रो पक्ष भनेको यसमा राखिएको पानी कहिल्यै पनि बेस्वादको हुँदैंन । त्यसैले लामो समयसम्म तामाको भाँडामा पानी राख्न सकिन्छ ।<br /> <br /> ३. तामामा प्राकृतिक रुपमा ओलीगोडिनेमिकको रुपमा (ब्याक्टेरियामा धातुलाई स्टेरलाइज्ड) मानिन्छ । यसमा राखिएको पानीको सेवनले पेटमा भएको ब्याक्टेरिया सजिलै नष्ट गर्न सक्छ । यस्तै, पानीजन्य रोग डाइरिया, कमलपित्तजस्ता रोग रोक्न पनि उपयोगी मानिन्छ ।<br /> <br /> ४. थाइरेक्सिन नामक हर्मोनको असन्तुलनका कारण थाइराइडको रोग लाग्छ । तामाको भाँडामा राखिएको पानी पिउनाले शरीरमा थाइरेक्सिन हर्मोन नियन्त्रित हुन्छ र यो हर्मोन निकाल्ने ग्रन्थीको कार्यप्रणालीलाई पनि नियन्त्रित गर्छ ।<br /> <br /> ५. तामामा मष्तिष्कलाई उत्तेजित गर्ने गुण हुन्छ । यो गुणको उपस्थितिमा मष्तिष्कले तीब्रता र कुशलतापूर्वक काम गर्न मद्दत गर्छ ।<br /> <br /> ६. जोर्नी दुख्ने समस्या छ भने तामाको भाँडामा राखिएको पानी नियमित पिउनाले फाइदा हुन्छ । यसमा एन्टी इन्फ्लेमेटरी गुण हुन्छ ।<br /> <br /> ७. यदि छाला स्वस्थ र सुन्दर बनाउन चाहनुहुन्छ भने रातभर तामाको भाँडामा राखिएको पानी बिहान पिउनुहोस् । तामाले शरीरमा नयाँ कोशिकाहरुको उत्पादनमा मद्दत गर्छ । नियमित रुपमा यस्तोपानी पिउनाले छाला स्वस्थ र चम्किलो हुन्छ ।<br /> <br /> ८. एसिडिटी, कब्जियतजस्ता पेटका समस्या भएका मानिसका लागि तामाको भाँडामा राखिएको पानी अमृतसमान हुन्छ । आयुर्वेदका अनुसार यदि शरीरमा भएको विषाक्त पदार्थ बाहिर निकाल्न चाहने हो भने तामाको भाँडामा कम्तीमा ८ घण्टा राखिएको पानी पिउनुहोस् । यसबाट पेट फुल्ने समस्या र पाचनप्रणालीका समस्या हट्छन् ।<br /> <br /> ९. तामाको भाँडामा राखिएको पानी पिउनाले चाउरी पर्ने प्रक्रियालाई पनि ढिलो गराइदिन्छ । यसले नयाँ र स्वस्थ छालाको कोशिकाको उत्पादनमा पनि मद्दत गर्छ ।<br /> <br /> १०. यसले रगतको विकार र कमी हुने समस्या हट्छ । पोषक तत्वलाई शोषेर रक्तवाहिनी नलीहरुमा यसलाई नियन्त्रित गर्छ ।

संरक्षणको पर्खाइमा रुपाताल

सूर्यको प्रकाश र मौसमका आधारमा पटक पटक पानीको रङ्ग फेरिने गरेका कारण रुपाताल नामाकरण गरिएको भनाइ छ । पोखरा उपत्यकाको तेस्रो ठूलो ताल रुपाको संरक्षण र विकासका लागि ‘रुपाताल संरक्षण एकृकीत विकास परियोजना’ अगाडी सारिएको छ ।<br /> प्राकृतिक एवम् मानवीय अतिक्रमणका कारण अस्तित्वको सङ्कटमा परेको रामसार सूचीमा सूचीकृत रुपातालको दक्षिणतर्फको भूभागमा पक्की बाँध निर्माण गर्न सरकारले चासो देखाएको छ । बाँध निर्माणबाट तालको संरक्षणमा मद्यत पुग्ने देखिन्छ । तालको वास्तविक क्षेत्रफल १३५ हेक्टर हो ।<br /> पछिल्लो समय विभिन्नखाले अतिक्रणका कारण ताल खुम्चिएर १०७ हेक्टरमा सीमित भएको छ । बाँध निर्माणपछि सो तालको क्षेत्रफल १४७ हेक्टर पुग्ने रुपाताल संरक्षण एकीकृत विकास परियोजनाका प्रमुख श्रीराम जोशी बताउनुहुन्छ । तालको दक्षिणतर्फको सिस्ठेनी टुँडाबाट सुवेदी टुँडासम्म ६०० मिटर लम्बाइ र १२ मिटर उचाइको पक्की बाँध निर्माण गरिएपछि पानीको सतह तीन मिटर बढ्ने जोशीको भनाइ छ ।<br /> <br /> नेपाल सरकार मन्त्रिपरिषद्को गत मङ्सिर १२ गतेको निर्णयअनुसार परियोजनाका लागि पहिलो चरणमा रु एक अर्ब विनियोजन गरिएको छ । लेखनाथ नगरपालिकाको तालचोकमा कार्यालय स्थापना गरी नापनक्सा तयार गरी तालको सीमाङ्कन छुट्याउने कार्य सुरु गरिएको छ ।<br /> <br /> बाँध निर्माणका लागि डिटेल सर्भे गरी पहिलो चरणमा ताल क्षेत्रभित्र पर्ने ८५५ रोपनी व्यक्तिगत जग्गा अधिग्रहण गरिने छ । दक्षिणतर्फको १९० रोपनी र तालको माथिल्लो भाग तालबेँसीतर्फको ६६५ रोपनी जग्गा अधिग्रहण गरी मुआब्जा वितरण गरिने परियोजनाले जनाएको छ ।<br /> <br /> “एक वर्षभित्र बाँध निर्माण कार्य सम्पन्न गर्ने लक्ष्य छ,” जोशीले भन्नुभयो । परियोजनाले डिटेल सर्भेसहित डिपिआर तयार गर्ने काम सुरु गरिसकेको छ । बाँध निर्माणसँगै माथिल्लो तटीय क्षेत्रको भू–संरक्षणको कार्य पनि सँगै थालिने छ । ताल संरक्षण एवम् विकासका लागि विभिन्न राजनीतिक पार्टी, सरोकारवाला निकाय, स्थानीय प्रशासन, सिँचाइ विभाग, जल उत्पन्न प्रकोप नियन्त्रण, वन, भू–संरक्षण कार्यालय, लेखनाथ नगरपालिका, लेखनाथ उद्योग वाणिज्य सङ्घ र स्थानीय बासिन्दाको सक्रियतामा परियोजनाले काम थालेको रुपाताल पुनःस्थापना तथा मत्स्य सहकारी संस्थाका अध्यक्ष कुलप्रसाद अधिकारी बताउनुहुन्छ ।<br /> <br /> विसं २०५८ देखि कच्ची बाँध निर्माण गरी तालको संरक्षणसहित आयआर्जनका लागि माछा पालन सुरु गरिएको थियो । माछा बिक्रीबाट भएको कुल आम्दानीको १५ प्रतिशत रकम तालको संरक्षणमा खर्च गरिँदै आएको छ । उक्त संस्थाले पहिरोबाट आएको माटो तालबाट निकाल्नुका साथै जलकुम्भी झार निकाल्ने गरेको छ ।<br /> <br /> तालसँग जोडिएका १७ वटा सामुदायिक विद्यालय र १४ वटा सामुदायिक वन समूहमा संस्थाले सरसफाइ कार्यक्रम गर्दै आएको छ । राष्ट्रिय ताल संरक्षण विकास समितिको रु २० लाख आर्थिक सहयोग र सहकारीको रकम खर्चेर ज्यामी, खोलाबेसी, क्यादी, तुर्लुलगायत खोलामा चेक ड्याम र सिल्टेसन ट्याङ्की निर्माण गरिएको छ ।<br /> <br /> बाँध निर्माणपछि रुपाताललाई पर्यटन केन्द्रका रुपमा विकास गर्न बनभोजस्थल, रेस्टुरेन्ट, बालउद्यान र सभाहल निर्माण गरिनेछ । नहरमार्फत लेखनाथ–१५ मालमुल फाँट र ढोडबेसीमा सिँचाइ सुविधा समेत पु¥याई कृषि उत्पादनमा जोड दिने परियोजनाले जनाएको छ । लेखनाथ उद्योग वाणिज्य सङ्घका अध्यक्ष लक्ष्मीप्रसाद त्रिपाठी रुपातालको संरक्षण आवश्यक रहेको बताउनुहुन्छ ।<br /> <br /> पोखरा उपत्यकाका नौवटा तालमध्ये सातवटा लेखनाथमा पर्छन् । अतिक्रमणको चपेटामा परेका मैदी, गुदे, दिपाङ, खास्टे, न्यूरेनी ताल संरक्षणको पखाइमा छन् । ताल संरक्षणसँगै विभिन्न प्रजातिका चराचुरुङ्गी, जीवजन्तुको वासस्थान रहेको सो क्षेत्रको जैविक विविधताको संरक्षणसहित पर्यटकीय गतिविधि बढाउँदै आन्तरिक एवम् बाह्य पर्यटन प्रवद्र्धन गर्नु जरुरी रहेको स्थानीय बासिन्दा बताउँछन् ।
